Element animations

With element animations, you can make any element on the slide (text box, shape, image) appear after a mouse click or other actions.

How to add animations to your slides

• Go to the slide editor and select the element / elements you want to have animation
• Click "Add animation" above the slide after selecting the element / elements
• Choose if you want the element to appear or fade in from the popup
• Add more animations to other elements in the same way
• Edit the animation order and the animation style or delete the animation(s) from the Slide properties > Animation stack (image below)

How to use animations when you are presenting

• Open the presentation in play mode or from a shared link
• Animation can be started with mouse clicks, using arrow keys / space / enter from your keyboard (with arrow keys, you can go back and forth)
• Animation can also be started from the presenter view:
• Open the presenter view by clicking the letter P from your keyboard after opening the presentation in play mode or from a shared link
• Start the animation by:
• Clicking the slide preview on the right
• Using arrow keys / space / enter from your keyboard (with arrow keys, you can go back and forth)
• Clicking the animation icon below the slide preview

Notes

• You can identify if a slide has animations from the left upper corner of the slide. If there is a triangle with the animation icon, the slide has animations (image below)

• Animations are part of smart slides; if you add an animation to a smart slide, the animation will appear on every presentation where that smart slide is used.
• PowerPoint import does not yet support animations; you must create them in Seidat after importing.

Can't get it to work?

Element animations are supported only for Core, Plus, and Pro license packages. If you have an older subscription model (Team XXS-L), please get in touch with us through our chat or directly with your Customer Success manager to upgrade the license.
