Work with asset collections

You can now build collections of different types of items (“assets”), such as products or features. In the step-by-step example described below, we will create a collection of meeting rooms in a hotel.

Start by clicking Collections in the workspace header, and then the + New collection button to start creating your first collection.

  1. Give your collection a name, so that you can easily recognize it if you have multiple collections. Then continue by defining which information you want each asset to contain. Possible field types include Text, Number, Boolean (yes/no), Media (still or panoramic image), Plan (typically a floorplan or a map), and URL.

  1. When you have created fields for your collection, you can start adding assets.

  1. If you want to add media, such as still or panoramic images, you will be prompted to upload the images to a Media folder. When uploading panoramic images, it is important to click the Upload panorama button, so that the system will recognize the image as a 360-degree image.

  1. If you add a Plan (floorplan) you will also be prompted to upload an image, after which you can place a marker on the floorplan indicating location of the room.

  1. When you have added all your assets to the collection, you can build a chart (capacity chart) from the fields. Click Build chart under Settings, and then select which fields you want to include in the chart.

  1. Now we can add assets to slides. Navigate to your presentation and create a blank slide. Then add assets to the slide library by clicking the Add asset icon in the menu, selecting a collection, and finally selecting an asset. Repeat this step to add all assets you want to use on the slide. Once added, your assets will appear on the right side of the view, where you can also remove assets from the slide.

  1. When you have added your assets, you can start using them on the slide. For image elements, add an image on the slide, and then select its content from Collections instead of Media.

  1. For text elements, add a blank text field, and then select the content by clicking the Collections icon in the top bar.

  1. When you have added content to the slide, you can click the play button on the top left for a preview. When viewing the slide, you can see a hamburger icon menu on the top right. Clicking the menu will allow you to switch between assets. Below the hamburger icon are icons for opening the capacity chart and the floorplan.
