Live mode for easy and modern presenting

Present from anywhere, with any device to anyone easily.

Live mode presenting

  • With Seidat's Link share and live mode, you can present your material remotely to your audience without screen share or any complicated software.
  • Share your material with a link, and change the slide on your device and it changes on the viewer's device instantly. This way, you're on the same page with your customer even in situations where people follow your presentation both live and remotely at the same time.
  • Links created with Seidat (both Live and Browse modes) can be sent to as many recipients as you wish.

How to create Live mode links?

  1. Select the presentation you want to share.
  2. Navigate to the presentation share view by pressing the share icon (see image 1 below) from the dashboard or from the left tab.
  3. Click "Create new link".
  4. Select the link mode to Live: team (see image 2 below)
  5. You can add additional info to the box on the right. This will be only visible to you and your team members.
  6. You can now share the link by copy-pasting it to an email, text, chat message, etc.

How to work the Live mode?

  1. After sharing the link, open the same link. The link can also be opened with any other browser you are logged in to Seidat (for example your phone).
  2. The viewer/s now see the active slide. When you change the slide, it will be changed for all the viewers too. There is usually roughly a one-second delay to viewers after you have changed the slide. This might vary based on the presenter's and viewers' internet connection and location.
  3. In most presenting situations you might want to be in the overview view (see image 3). Open the overview by pressing O-button on your keyboard or by pressing the navigator map on the bottom right and clicking the overview icon (see image 4). Even though you are in the overview yourself, the viewers only see the active slide. The active slide is marked with blue frames and it can be seen on the right too.
  4. Once you have exited the Live mode, the customer can still see the latest page you showed.
  5. Delete the link to remove all access of the viewer to the presentation.

Live: team and Live: anyone

There are two live modes in Seidat; Live: team and Live: anyone. The mode you select will determine who can be in control of changing the slides during the presentation.

When Live: team is selected, only your Seidat team members with presentation sharing rights can control the presentation. Use this mode in meetings, especially if screen sharing is not possible.

When Live: anyone is selected, any viewer can control a presentation for all viewers. Live: anyone is perfect for situations where people outside your Seidat team need to have control over a presentation. Live: anyone is not available with the personal (free) plan of Seidat.

Remote control your presentations

When presenting in larger venues or when you want to move around in the room you can control your presentation with your phone for example. Open the same link on your phone's browsers that you are logged in. You can change pages on that device also and it will change on every device. Even on your own laptop.

Notes

Make sure you have a working internet connection when using Live mode to send a signal for the recipient's device to change the page. Seidat works with even slow internet connections. It is perfectly normal to experience a lag of around 1-2 seconds after the slide is changed.

  • If the recipient(s) loses their internet connection the pages on their end will not change.
  • If the presenter loses their internet connection the page will not change on any recipient's device.

All users who have logged in to a team and use a Seidat Live link from that team can change the page. So make sure you are using a unique link when presenting.
