How to use your phone as a remote control

If you have only one screen, you can easily open the presenter view on your phone and use it as a remote control!

You can use your phone as a remote control to switch slides easily. This can be useful, especially when you want to present with full screen and can't open the presenter view on top of the presentation.

  • Create a link for the presentation in Seidat and set it to Live: member, and copy the link

  • If you have never logged in to Seidat with your phone, you must first log in (this needs to be done only once, as the browser on your phone will remember you after this). Go to app.seidat.com and log in the same way as you would on your computer.

  • Please send the link you just copied to your phone by email, Slack, WhatsApp, or any other texting method.

  • Open the link with your phone, click on the slide map in the lower right corner to open the navigator menu, and then select "Show overview." or pinch your screen like you are zooming out.

  • Open the same link on your laptop or any device that you want the slides to be shown in (the link can be opened by anyone who you send it to - also people outside of your Seidat workspace)

Now, you can use your phone as a remote control!
